LET US TAKE CARE OF YOU'R BEAUTY

A brow lift can correct or reduce many of the age-related imperfections that appear on or around your forehead.  By gently lifting the soft tissues of the brow, the surgery can improve your appearance in the following ways:

  • Correction of drooping/descended brow
  • Restoration of youthful eyebrow arch
  • Reduced appearance of crow’s feet and frown lines

The brow lift is an important procedure in facial rejuvenation, specifically designed to rejuvenate the upper third of the face.  It’s common for plastic surgeons to combine the brow lift with eyelid surgery or a facelift.

Indications for Brow Lift

This procedure may be recommended if you exhibit a drooping, asymmetric or distorted brow.  Common imperfections, such as lines, furrows and excess skin on the upper eyelids, are other indications for a brow lift.

Brow Lift Surgery Techniques

There are several brow lift techniques, one of which is the endoscopic method.  With this minimally invasive technique, your plastic surgeon uses a small camera to view the underlying facial structure.  Through four to five small incisions behind the hairline, the brow tissues are gently lifted and fixated in a higher position.  Clips or stitches can be used to close the incisions.

Recovery After Brow Lift

Most patients can return to their normal routine after about 1 week, but total recovery time varies depending on the technique chosen by your surgeon.  When surgery is finished, a soft absorbent dressing will be applied and the doctor will provide you with post-operative instructions.

You may be able to shower and use shampoo within just three days, but exercise or rigorous activities should be limited for a few weeks.   Expect some numbness, discomfort and minor swelling during recovery.  Some patients also report nausea during their recovery.  To help manage discomfort, your plastic surgeon can prescribe a pain medication.
